Role Description

The Junction Foundation are looking to recruit a driven Family Focus Project Worker to join their growing team.

You do not need to have worked in this specific field before but the right candidate will have experience of either supporting families through person centred support or advice work.

They will also need to understand the wide range of challenges families experiencing poverty face, the focus on creating meaningful change with families and commensurate with The Junction Foundation’s values as they offer compassionate and non-judgemental support through both one to one support and community-based activities.

Purpose of the Role

To work alongside the Team to:

• Develop and deliver weekly face to face family sessions in the three communities most affected by poverty in Middlesbrough, offering the opportunity for peer support, activities and skills development and ad-hoc support.
• Provide intensive person-centred support to families who need structured support to meet their goals and improve long term outcomes.
• Working alongside colleagues, activity partners, wider community groups and other sources of support within the community to ensure appropriate support for families to reach their goals and get the right support.
• Work alongside the advice worker, revenue and benefits and other providers of financial advice, support and assistance to ensure families are able to meet their needs.
