Food support is offered by a range of organisations across the borough and support is based on where you live.

Food Banks

Guisborough Bridge: Food Stop

The Guisborough Bridge Association was setup by Churches Together Guisborough.

Food Stop is a Guisborough Bridge food bank project; their response to the increasingly challenging financial situation facing individuals in our community.

You can access food parcels via a referral from GP surgery social prescriber/health visitor; social worker; CAB; Headteacher; Beyond Housing; Probation.

Access is Tuesday & Thursdays 10am – 12 midday, at GMC. Thursday’s coincides with their Soup and Roll event.

Redcar Area Food Bank

The Redcar Area Food Bank was seeded by the Trussell Trust and has nine locations across the borough, open on a wide range of days and times. In order to access the service you need to apply for a food voucher from a qualifying local agency. To apply for a voucher please contact Redcar Citizens Advice by calling them on 01642 030 000.

Saltburn Solidarity Food Bank

Saltburn Solidarity Food Bank was setup and is run by residents of Saltburn. To access the foodbank either contact them by messaging them on their Facebook page or just turn up, there is no need for a food voucher or to be referred by a qualifying local agency.

East Cleveland Good Neighbours Food Bank

From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic Tees Valley Rural Action has been parenting East Cleveland Good Neighbours, a group of likeminded community members who began to support their local community during the crisis and beyond.

The East Cleveland Good Neighbours Food Bank offer emergency food parcels to rural areas across East Cleveland with a phone line open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and aim to deliver food parcels on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.

Redcar Community Grocery is open for the people of Redcar helping to keep families fed and give members access to support too. It is run in partnership by The Message Trust and Redcar Baptist Church.

Guisborough Bridge: Community Shop

At Guisborough Bridge’s Community Shop they have plenty of fresh fresh fruit & vegetable produce offered for free and after paying £3 customers leave with around 10 non-perishable items.

The Community Shop is open on Tuesdays or Wednesdays 12am to 2pm. Anyone can become a member in the TS14 postcode and surrounding villages.
