What is Tees Valley: Move Forward
Flexible support to help people into employment is being provided in a new scheme delivering opportunities across Tees Valley.
Tees Valley Move Forward has been launched by the Tees Valley Mayor and Combined Authority to give assistance to people who are not currently working but would like to return to work, including those facing health barriers to gaining employment.
The programme offers tailored, wrap-around one-to-one support to those who are short and long-term unemployed and includes help to find and access jobs, work experience and training.
Further help includes support to manage childcare responsibilities, overcoming transport barriers, maximising financial support and benefits and help to build resilience and self-esteem.

Tees Valley Move Forward will provide crucial help to make sure that barriers to work are removed and people can get the support they need and the career they want.”

Move Forward’s team offer face-to-face support including at selected community venues, over the phone or by video call. At-home support may be available in special circumstances.

The scheme is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
Support for long-term economically inactive people is being delivered by Housing Employment Network North East (HENNE), led by Thirteen Group, with support for short-term economically inactive people being delivered by Humankind Charity, Groundwork, and a consortium led by Hartlepool Borough Council.
