For World Book Day & National Careers Week, Building our Futures wants you to write a story explaining why it’s important to know where we get energy.
Educating and inspiring our workforce of the future
‘Building our Futures’ is an exciting new STEAM focused career related learning programme, designed specifically for primary school pupils in Redcar and Cleveland.
The programme, funded by Dogger Bank Wind Farm, gives pupils the opportunity to meet and work with local employers, giving them an insight into future local labour market requirements and introduce them to the range of exciting local occupations on their doorstep.
Pupils will also learn and practice the essential employability skills needed to succeed in the world of work. Each lesson is designed to be as interactive as possible, involving group work and role play, to make learning fun and engaging and bring STEAM subjects alive.
