CbRP Charter
These are the important rules for the Community-based Research Programme (CbRP) that everyone agrees to follow:
- The group should always put the community’s needs first.
- It should include people of all ages, backgrounds, and genders, and keep everyone’s information private.
- The group should clearly explain why they’re doing the research.
- They should be honest and clear in their work and try to stay independent.
- The group should ask questions that matter to the public.
- There should be clear leaders, goals, and good record-keeping.
- The group should know who will use the research, why it’s needed, and who they’re responsible to.
- The research should be open to ideas from the community.
- The group should help the community but avoid promises they can’t keep.
- They should make a safe space where everyone feels respected and valued as people, not just as information.
