Festival Office Volunteer – Saltburn Folk Festival

Context of Role

Saltburn Folk Festival is a non-profit, volunteer ran organisation that host a multivenue festival set in a seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast.

In 2025 the main festival will run from Friday 8th August to Sunday 10th August 2025.

The campsite will be open from Thursday afternoon (7th of August) to Monday morning (11th of August).

As usual, there will be a sing around for any early birds and locals on the Thursday evening to kick off the festival in style!

Role Description

Saltburn Folk Festival are seeking Festival Office volunteers for their 2025 festival from the 8th of August to the 10th of August.

Festival Office volunteers are the main point of contact for all visitors to the Festival.

You’ll need to be well organised and reliable, willing to pay attention in briefings and to follow policies and procedures.

Must haves: Competent cash handling.

Good communication skills and a helpful approach.

Adequate literacy and numeracy for making sales and keeping records.

IT skills desirable.

The ability to speak a second language would be a bonus.

Purpose of the Role

Festival Office volunteers provide information; sell tickets, programmes and other merchandise; manage wristband exchange; and support communication with performers, volunteers and everyone else involved in staging the Festival.
