Context of Role
Coram Beanstalk (previously named Beanstalk before being welcomed to the Coram group of charities) is a national charity which creates readers by improving children’s reading confidence, enjoyment and ability.
A national children’s reading charity with over 50 years’ experience in creating readers through our one-to-one, in-person reading support.
Coram Beanstalk has the knowledge and experience to mobilise and equip communities to deliver help to children in schools who need extra support to become readers.
Role Description
Coram Beanstalk are looking for an exceptional candidate to join their Reading Support team as a trained volunteer.
Do you have a love of reading?
Could you give an afternoon a week?
Are comfortable in a school environment?

Purpose of the Role
Coram Beanstalk is a national charity with over 50 years’ experience of training people from local communities to go into partner primary schools and support children to grow a love of reading.
All of their volunteers are trained through live, interactive, small group sessions with one of their trainers.
Once trained you will commit to going into the school on a weekly basis, where you will support the same few children each week by sharing books that enthuse and motivate them.
