Lavan Dementia Care Services provide specialist dementia care and support services in Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, and surrounding areas.
Role Description
Lavan Dementia Care Services has volunteering opportunities for those who wish to be a part of social and peer support groups as well as a specialist dementia day care service for carers and their loved ones living with dementia.
These opportunities are based in Redcar and Cleveland.
Due to nature of the service, all volunteers are required to have a enhanced DBS check.
Purpose of the Role
Duties will likely include:
- Welcoming people
- Offering and making drinks to visitors
- Chatting
- Playing games
- Arts and crafts
- Offering social and peer support
- Supporting management and staff
- Planning activities
- Outings and social activities
