Dogger Bank Wind Farm have a small operator fund to provide grants of up to £1,000 to community projects near their construction and operation bases.
They provide £75,000 of funding each year for these activities, covering everything from sports kit to mental health groups.
Eligibility
The fund is only open to community groups that:
- Have a constitution
- Deliver activities in Redcar and Cleveland, South Tyneside or East Riding of Yorkshire
- Have an annual turnover below £100,000
Grants can be used for projects that:
- Enhance quality of life for local residents
- Contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities and/or
- Promote community spirit and encourage community activity
A decision can take up to a maximum of 3 months.
Priority will be given to activities close to the wind farm sites: South Tyneside – NE33 1RZ; East Riding of Yorkshire – HU17 0RN; Redcar & Cleveland – TS10 4FX.
These criteria will be applied to all applications submitted from 1 June 2024.
