Outdoor Education & Activities Leader – Konnekt Outdoors

Context of Role

Kidz Konnekt is a Children and Young Peoples Charity that has been operating for 20 years delivering a wide range of Youth Services to young people aged 8 to 19.

Konnekt Outdoors is a Kidz Konnekt project that aims is to reconnect children, young people and the wider community with the natural environment.

Role Description

Kidz Konnekt are looking for talented Outdoor Instructors who really want to support children and young people re-engage in the Outdoors.

As a big part of this role, they want instructors to join their Team who can support the delivery of a range of outdoor adventure activities and educational sessions.

Purpose of the Role

The Outdoor Education & Activities Leader will be responsible for:

• Develop and deliver projects to support the work of Kidz Konnekt.
• Organising, delivering and monitoring Outdoor Adventure & Educational Activities.
• Lead and direct a team of trainees with the support of the Senior Outdoor Officer.
• Develop School Partnership, Alternative Ed and Enterprise Initiatives to generate income.
• Develop and deliver DofE programmes for schools and the community.
• Organise and deliver outdoor themed projects/activities from a Youth Club setting.
• Monitor, create and develop safe outdoor practice within the Organisation.
