A message from Carol Botten, Chief Executive of Voluntary Organisations’ Network North East (VONNE) the regional infrastructure body of the North East.
In the Spring of 2024, with your help and engagement, we will launch a new VONNE strategic plan that will enable us to define our objectives for the next three years and lay the groundwork for the longer-term. Doing this enables us to effectively serve and support our members and the wider VCSE sector, for the good of the North East region, our people and their communities.
As a membership organisation, with over 1,400 core members, 300+ Membership+ supporters as well as 500+ key partners, stakeholders and funders, it’s key that we hear from you as we develop our strategic aims.
We’ve opened a short survey to gather feedback from our members and stakeholders and would really value your input. If you’re a member of VONNE, please make yourself a cuppa and tell us your thoughts, the survey is a series of multiple choice responses and shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes to complete.
Thank you to everyone who has completed our Strategy Survey already. Your feedback helps us to fulfil our role to successfully support the development and sustainability of a strong, effective and well governed VCSE sector. Connecting with us allows us to promote and enable engagement, involvement and collaboration with the sector as a valued partner.
From the results so far, you’ve told us you want us to continue projects and support around recruitment and environmental sustainability. You also told us that you’d like to see more activities from VONNE to encourage public sector bodies to engage more effectively with VCSE organisations.
You can learn more about our plans for the Strategic Review in our CEO, Carol’s blog here.
The next stage of the review will be a series of workshops and discussions at the VONNE Conference and AGM 2023, which will be held on 16th November in Sunderland and online. This will be a full day event, please save the date and tickets will be on sale soon!
Kind Regards
Carol Botten, Chief Executive
