CSA Commissioning Framework – Child House Learning Event
The Home Office will shortly be publishing their Child House Local Partnerships Guidance which is aimed towards local commissioners, practitioners and service providers considering setting up a Child House (or elements of the Child House model) in their local area.
A ‘Child House’ is a multi-agency service model supporting children, young people and non-abusing parents, carers and family members following child sexual abuse. The model is based on international best practice and aims to provide a victim-centred multi-disciplinary approach to supporting child victims of sexual abuse under one roof.
To coincide with the guidance, the Home Office are organising a learning event to share learning from the pilot of the UK’s first ‘Child House’ (the Lighthouse). The virtual event will take place on 8th September 2021.
The event is open to all with an interest in multi-agency and child-centred approaches to supporting children and young people affected by sexual abuse, including (but not restricted to) commissioners of services, service providers, practitioners, and policy makers.
