Age UK Teesside is an established local charity driven by the needs and aspirations of people in later life working to promote the health and well-being of older people.
A collaborative approach between Age UK Teesside and Zetland Radio will encourage older people who are currently offline to engage with the rollout of Smart Meters.
We currently have a vacancy for: Smart Energy Project Support Worker
Location: Teesside (Office base in Middlesbrough)
Salary: £10.17 per hour
Hours per week: 21.5 hours per week – flexible
Type of contract: Fixed term – 1st August – 8th December 2021
Role details:
We are seeking to employ a Support Worker to engage with older people across the 4 Boroughs of Teesside by home visits and telephone advice as well as delivering group sessions and sending out postal information. They will also be working closely with Zetland Radio in the promotion of the project.
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate information and encourage older people to engage with the project.
Applicants must have a proven track record of working with older people in groups, home based settings and telephone. Driving Licence and the use of a car are essential.
