Police and Crime Commissioner Survey
Views sought on how to make Cleveland more female-friendly In response to the Sarah Everard murder, the government has announced the release of a third round of funding specifically focused on improving the safety of public spaces, particularly those of concern to women and girls.
In order to inform a bid for this funding the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) have this week launched a survey aimed at women and girls across Cleveland to better understand if they feel unsafe, why this is, any particular hotspot areas and how comfortable they feel reporting incidents.
Police and Crime Commissioner Study and Residents Survey
Major study launched into victim experience ahead of service remodel
A major assessment project has been launched to understand how victims and people affected by crime and anti-social behaviour in Cleveland wish to access recovery support.
Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) have a legal responsibility to commission services to support victims of crime. As a condition of funding provided by the Ministry of Justice, PCCs must prove they are helping victims cope with the impact of crime and recover from any harm they experienced.
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is to look into the needs of victims in Cleveland, to inform a new service model from April 2022.
The North East and Cumbria Funders Network survey
The North East and Cumbria Funders Network has devised a super-quick survey for VCSE organisations to help shape and influence their plans for the next 12 months.
Findings, which are anonymous, will be shared with the network, local infrastructure organisations and other bodies. We urge you to take part so we have a meaningful number of responses to feed back to funders and others. The survey only takes 5 minutes to complete and is open until Monday 7th June.
