Domestic Abuse – Its Time for Action Event

DOMESTIC ABUSE – ITS TIME FOR ACTION
Event Invitation

Monday 25th November 2019 is an important date… It is first day of the UN 16 days of Activism against Gender Based Violence – this is an annual international campaign running from 25th Nov, the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women and runs until 10th Dec. The 25th Nov is also White Ribbon Day, which promotes a future without male violence against women.

To mark this day in Redcar and Cleveland are we are hosting DOMESTIC ABUSE – IT’S TIME FOR ACTION… A free awareness raising & market place event for statutory, voluntary & community groups to further understand the impact of coercive control. As a part of which, we are delighted to be able to offer a free screening of the ‘Rattle Snake’ film – an epic tale based on real life stories of women who have faced and survived coercive controlling domestic abuse.

In addition, there will be a chance to network with others and access a market place event. There will be key agencies on hand to provide advice and information about the support they can offer and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
