South Tees Carers’ Forum
9.30am-1.00pm, Monday 2nd December 2019
Boardroom, North Ormesby Health Village, 14 Trinity Mews, Middlesbrough TS3 6AL
You are invited to attend the first meeting of the South Tees Carers’ Forum.
The Forum is being established to inform and support a new, joined up approach to Carers’ services and support across Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland.
It will play a key role in the development of a new South Tees Carers’ Strategy, which will be agreed by April 2020. Commissioning of services will be based on this Strategy from October 2020. The attached briefing note provides some background information about the context for this new approach and the role of the Carers’ Forum.
At this inaugural meeting, we will:
- Explain the rationale and commitment of statutory providers and commissioners to a new South Tees Carers’ Strategy
- Explore a shared vision and outcomes for the Carers’ Forum and a South Tees Carers’ Strategy
- Discuss the roles and remit of the South Tees Carers’ Forum
- Share experience, information and knowledge about current and future support services, identifying good practice and any gaps
- Think about communications, research and identifying and engaging Carers
- Agree next steps and actions, including a timeline of activity for developing the Carers’ Strategy and the focus of future Forum sessions
Please register your interest and availability to attend this event by 11th November, highlighting any access needs, by emailing: [email protected]
