East Cleveland Manager

Full-Time (38 hours per week, permanent)

This is an exciting, new and unique opportunity to be involved in a growing and passionate team based within a professional football club charity.

The East Cleveland Manager will report directly to the Head of Foundation and be part of the Senior Management Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and delivering brand new projects, based in the East Cleveland area.

They will be responsible for managing a large, restricted budget, will act as Line Manager to a small team, mentoring and developing staff to achieve their full potential.

Candidates should:

  • Be an experienced people manager who has a thorough knowledge and understanding of project management and how to develop staff
  • Be diligent, organised, have attention to detail and always be professional
  • Possess exemplary communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people and situations

Warm Homes Engagement Officer

Salary: £19,613 to £21,121
30 hrs per week – 2.5 year fixed term

A great opportunity to work across the Tees Valley, raising awareness of the Warm Homes Programme and helping to tackle fuel poverty.

The postholder will work with statutory bodies, voluntary sector organisations and community groups, highlighting the causes and impacts of fuel poverty. They will support organisations to make referrals for support, particularly to the Warm Homes Fund programme.

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering training and awareness-raising to community groups, volunteers and front-line staff. A proven track record in the delivery of energy efficiency programmes, including providing advice, accessing home energy efficiency measures and making referrals to partner agencies for additional support would be an advantage.

Affordable Warmth Advisor

Salary: £19,613 to £21,121
37 hrs per week – Fixed term to March 2021

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced person to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, lonely and isolated people over 50 in Middlesbrough, through the provision of home energy efficiency advice and support.

You will provide general home energy efficiency advice to people over 50 in a range of venues including people’s homes, community venues and public events. Adopting a holistic approach, you will engage with people over 50 to identify any additional factors that might impact on their loneliness and isolation. In addition, you will provide training to front-line staff and community organisations, with a focus on engaging the health & social care sector. Raising awareness of the issue of fuel poverty and making them aware of how to make referrals for help.

With previous experience of providing one-to-one advice and delivering training in community settings, you will be person focussed with a commitment to delivering excellent person-centred service. Previous experience in home energy advice is desirable but not essential as appropriate training can be provided.
