Children and Young People’s Mental Health Wellbeing VCSE Expression of Interest
We are looking for innovative collaborative bids which provide clear details of how a South Tees Alliance of Mental Health Support (which covers a wide range of ages 3-25 years old) may be developed. The emphasis of the bid should emphasise how joined up working across South Tees will include a variety of services including Voluntary Development Agencies and Grass Roots organisations. Bid must build on projects already in place that have shown to be successful.
The bid must include:
- Information and intelligence on local need (inclusive of ages, demographics, etc.)
- Detail regarding successes of current projects
- How the provision will reduce the burden on TEWV Specialist Provision
- Details and ranges of support provision available (this must include CYP-IAPT along with non-therapeutic offers, virtual approaches, technology, physical activity, etc.)
- How services are co-produced with service users and stakeholders
- How the service will reach diverse and hard to reach communities (including people with learning disabilities / autism / BAME / LGBTQ)
- Detail on numbers of individuals expected to be reached by the service/projects
- What steps will be taken to engage Grass Roots organisations in the delivery of provision
- Marketing and communication strategy to engage customers
- How the project will be testing new and innovative approaches
- Sustainability plan for the project after year 3
- Outcomes of the project and how these will be measured/evidenced
The bid must not:
- be for supporting geographic extensions of current projects

The bid must outline how the service is will be sustained from year 4.
Bids must not consist solely on staffing costs and management costs.
At least 5% of the project budget should be allocated for evaluation of the service
The bid must show:
- An innovative and original development that benefits and inspires Children, Young People, parents, carers and the wider community.
- How it supports NEET, those at risk of school exclusions and how it supports Parents and Carers (including non and paid Carers).
- How the bid tackles social exclusion/isolation specifically relating to impacts on mental health and wellbeing
- Support and interventions offered to support children and young people that experience life changing events e.g. transition, bereavement, parental unit breakdown/issues, bullying
- THE BID MUST COVER THE WHOLE OF SOUTH TEES.
All submissions of interest with outline of the bid should be sent to Allan Fairlamb, South Tees CCG – afairlamb@nhs.net and received no later than 6th February 2019. We ask that organisations also be available for a bid writing session 11:00am – 4:00pm on Friday 8th February at the CCG Office (North Ormesby Medical Village) and Monday 11th February if needed.
Organisational eligibility
Organisations must:
- Be a VCSE organisation based and registered in England, with a plan to operate this project in England only.
- Not apply for grant funding amount of more than 25% of their current annual turnover (per each organisation with in the alliance), as demonstrated by your audited or independently examined accounts.
- Have been working or specialising in mental health for children and young people for at least the last three years
- Demonstrate that they have a clear connection to work within local communities (either as a local or national VCSE organisation)
