Fire Support Network are seeking individuals with a current driving license to become a ‘Volunteer Driver’.

- Cleveland Fire Support Network offers an online induction programme which will not only improve your knowledge of the Network and the legal framework of the Charity, but will also gain you certification which can be added to your current Curriculum Vitae (C.V.)

FRED – Kick Off The Summer Event
Redcar Esplanade Whit weekend 28/29/30th May 2016
LIMITED NUMBER of Stalls from 10am to 5pm each day
Also Required: VOLUNTARY Activity Groups, Dance Performers, Street Performers/Artists
Stalls will be free for community/charitable causes and a charge for businesses.
If this appeals please send to [email protected] by APRIL 2nd the following information:
- The group/business you represent and whether you are not-for-profit or commercial.
- Type of stall / activity/ event / display you wish to set up / perform. This may include the beach (No food other than home baking, preserves, chutney types, accompanied with hygiene cert.)
- Days and Times you require a stall / will perform an activity/ event /display (This is very important – we may book out the pitch if you’re leaving early)
- Best Contact details and emergency contact details (NAME, ADDRESS, EMAIL, TELEPHONE)
FRED (Friends of Redcar):
- will send back out risk assessment forms
- will determine if marquees are appropriate before and during event
- will ensuring good housekeeping and clean up throughout
- hope to have market style stalls in place (TBC)
- have public liability through Rotary Club and RCBC but will need to check coverage

April Wild Food Events – Wild Food and Foraging Skills Walk
As part of the Street Eats project, Groundwork NE are offering FREE guided walks to learn more about what is edible, poisonous and interesting uses of other wild plants.
Lingdale – Saturday 2nd April at 10am – Meet at the Lingdale Youth and Community Centre
Dormanstown – Saturday 9th April at 10am – Meet at Westfield Farm, Dormanstown
Loftus – Saturday 16th April at 10am – Meet at the old Co-op Building, High Street, Loftus
Each walk will take approx. 2 hours. Paths can be uneven and slippery, so sturdy footwear is advisable.
