It is with mixed emotions I am informing you that Mal Fitzgerald, our long standing Chief Executive is leaving RCVDA and moving to pastures new.
It goes without saying that Mal’s contribution to the Voluntary and Community Sector and the wider community in Redcar and Cleveland has been more than considerable over the last 19 years.
His knowledge, experience, dedication and humour will be a big loss to RCVDA and the sector. I, on behalf of all connected with RCVDA, sincerely wish him all the best in his new role.
Some of you will know that RCVDA have been working to revisit it’s vision, mission and values recently as we plan for the future. We recognise, perhaps now more than ever, that there are considerable challenges to our communities as well as VCS infrastructure organisations.
The RCVDA board of trustees are considering its options to ensure that we have the right people, structure, culture and values to ensure that RCVDA moves forward and increase our impact.
Our aim is to achieve a successful transition as we plan ahead for the future.
Thanking you in advance for your support.
Yours sincerely
Lawrence McAnelly;
Chair, RCVDA.
