Friday Friends – May Programme

Friday Friends are an innovative new small charity, whose aim is to form a friendship group in Saltburn, by providing a creative environment where friendships can develop and be sustained.

Actuarial Review of Self Insurance Funds – 9VRM-KN0QRW
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is seeking quotations for the provision of actuarial review of self insurance funds.

Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Service – 9UZF-NXNLZV
Lot 1:
Women’s’ Refuge Service (in partnership with Coast and Country Housing), (Bids up to £140,000pa)

Lot 2:
Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to support women and men who are victims of domestic abuse seek justice and get support, as well as providing advice to the MARAC and Early Identification and intervention programme, working with local GP practices to identify and refer victims of Domestic Abuse for help as soon as possible (Bids up to £100,000pa)

Lot 3:

Sanctuary Scheme, providing advice on safety and security, and ensuring adjustments are carried out in a timely way to allow victims to remain in their own homes (Bids up to £16,000pa)

Lot 4:

Children’s Therapeutic and Outreach Support to reduce the impact of domestic abuse (Bids up to £100,000pa).

Housing Related Support Service – 9VND-YVJFGD
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council wish to appoint a Framework of Providers for the provision of a Housing Related Support Service.

And for the provision of a Housing Related Support Service delivered by a Key Worker, working intensively with vulnerable adults as part of our recent successful Transformation Challenge Award bid.

The Foundation for Social Improvement (FSI) is bringing two days of free training to Newcastle so that small charities in the area can build the skills they need to become self sustaining. The event offers courses on key fundraising skills such as Trusts & Foundations and Corporate Partnerships. There is also training on Fundraising Strategy, Risk Management for Trustees, and Demonstrating Your Impact. The FSI has grown to be the largest provider of free capacity-building services to the small charity sector (they define a small charity as any 100% not for profit organisation with an annual turnover of less than £1.5m).

They now deliver nearly £2 million in free services to small charities, including over 100 training days in London and centres around the UK, 1:1 advice clinics, conferences and fundraising platforms.
