Food Safety + First Aid
Lucie Winkles are running a number of Food Safety and First Aid Courses.
Food Safety Level 2 will run on the dates below. Ring for cost as this course is number dependant but includes certification.
Friday 17th April from 9.30 til 4.30
Friday 5th June from 9.30 til 4.30
Emergency First Aid at work will run Monday 23 March
Friday 1 May
Friday 12 June 10 til 3.30
The cost is £35 including certification.
Both courses are one day courses and we will provide lunch and refreshments through the day.

Youth Music Funding Advice
National Foundation for Youth Music – Funding Advice Sessions from Musinc
The national charity Youth Music has recently re launched its grants programme. Organisations can now bid for £2,000 – £200,000 for activities which support young people’s music making.
The grants programme supports Youth Music’s vision of a ‘musically inclusive England’ in which life changing music making is available to all children and young people. Further information and guidance notes can be found at: http://network.youthmusic.org.uk/funding.
Deadlines for the next funding rounds are:
Fund A (£ 2,000 – £ 30,000) 23 April 2015
Fund B (£30,000 – £200,000) 21 May 2015
Musinc’s Development Officer, Gwyneth Lamb is offering one to one advice sessions for organisations in the Teesside area who are interested in applying. Gwyneth was previously Youth Music’s Regional Officer for the North East and has helped many organisations make successful applications.
These will be held at Middlesbrough My Place, North Street, Middlesbrough TS2 1JP on Wednesday 25 March, Tuesday 14 April and Wednesday 22 April . To book a session, follow this link and book a timeslot that suits you. Please include a contact name and phone number.
To make the most of the time available please read through the Guidance Notes beforehand, and come with a project plan in mind.

Creative Employability Workshop

Generator is looking for young people with an interest in Music, Film, TV, Games or Digital Media. Do you have an idea for an enterprise in the creative industries? Or would you just like to find out more about finding a job in the creative industries?
Our ‘Ladders’ Creative Employability Workshops have been helping young people in the North-East aged 16-24 with interests in music, film, TV, games or digital media, develop skills and improve chances of getting a job. With this in mind we’ve decided to host one final full-day masterclass in Middlesbrough to help you develop the skills you need to find a job that you love and find the motivation you need to get ahead in highly competitive industries.
The day will comprise of fun creative group sessions where you will learn about communication, team work, time management, professionalism and commitment. Your newly acquired skills will then be put into practice with a variety of creative industry focused activities where you will look at things like PR, marketing and pitching.
The day will feature insight and practical advice from special guest Grant Brydon. Grant is a journalist and blogger specialising in hip-hop and new music. After studying art at university he changed direction and began building his own brand online through free blogging platforms, allowing him to get his work out in front of an audience. He has since written for the likes of Noisey, Pigeons & Planes, SB.TV and I-D as well as being the Online Music Editor at the UK’s biggest youth lifestyle magazine, RWD Mag, and Hip-Hop editor at Clash Magazine. He also set up a small marketing and PR business called Fiend Digital which helped new independent artists to begin thinking strategically about releases and make their first steps into the music industry, as well as helping a few more established acts to advance their brand in the online world.
