Free Business Networking – March 17th

Join the Enterprise Team for breakfast at the Redcar and Cleveland Business Forum where you’ll be able to network with business people from across the borough, chat to their expert business coaches and hear from guest speakers.
Redcar and Cleveland Business Forum meets once a month providing a free networking opportunity to businesses in Redcar and Cleveland. It’s organised by the Redcar Enterprise Team – part of Redcar and Cleveland Council. The team provides free advice and support to new and established businesses across Redcar and Cleveland.

This is a brilliant opportunity for you to see a showcase of our work, influence and achievements. We would love to meet you to gather your views to help shape our current work plan.

Two New CERTIFICATED Courses in Child Development and Drug Awareness
Tees Valley Women’s Centre have two new certificated courses starting after Easter Week Commencing 13th April.
Drug Awareness Level 1 is on a Wednesday 12.30-2.30pm (2hours weekly for 8wks)
Designed to provide an introduction to understanding substances, on this course you will gain knowledge of specific substances and develop awareness of the effects of substance misuse. You will learn about the impact that drugs and alcohol has on family, friends and society as a whole and be able to recognise the support services available and how to access them.
Award In Child Development Level 1 is on a Tuesday 10-12 (2hours weekly for 12wks)
Child development explores the physical, psychological and emotional changes from birth to five years. It aims to develop a basic knowledge and understanding of the needs of young children and will help you to understand the role of supporting Childrens development. It considers a variety of environments to include play work, out of school and early years settings. If you are interested in working with young children and supporting their development, this is a ideal starting point.
If you have any women interested aged 19+ please ask them to come along to Tees Valley Women’s Centre, Albion Street, South Bank on Friday 6th March 10am-2pm to enrol or contact us afterwards on 01642 296166.
CPS Disability Hate Crime Navigator Workshops
CPS North East are holding a workshop to improve understanding of hate crime prosecution policy and processes, to enable staff to support victims of disability hate crime in navigating the criminal justice system. Please note the deadline for bookings is 8.30 a.m. Monday 16th March.

RCSCB Practitioner Sessions
Following the success of the previous practitioner sessions facilitated by Jan van Wagtendonk, Independent Chair of Redcar and Cleveland Safeguarding Children Board, further dates have been arranged to discuss peoples experience of referring into social care and contributions to assessments.
These are lunchtime sessions for agencies working with children and families in the Redcar and Cleveland area and will take place as follows:
